CD sales have dropped dramatically over the past ten years, mostly due to MP3 selling and pirating. Because of the digital flavor of downloads and CDs, people have come to value analogue sound increasingly. Vinyl has become a new niche staple in the music industry, with new artists specifically requesting their albums to be produced on it as well.
