Sources reportedly spotted all three at brunch together at the Four Seasons Hotel [...]

Ryan Seacrest Faces American Idol Pay Cut!

Since American Idol survived after Simon Cowell left, the execs are thinking the same could be true about Ryan Seacrest.

For any one who's dabbled in music editing, mixing, remixing, etc, you might be familiar with templates. A remix template as defined in this particular article is nothing more than a customized session template you'll form inside your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that incorporates your most frequently utilized audio tracks, midi tracks, return channels, plug-ins, and other settings you frequently use.

Beyoncé Is Still Pregnant, Spent New Years Eve Partying In Brooklyn

Last Wednesday rumors were flying around that the heavily pregs Beyoncé secretly checked herself into a hospital so that she could give birth to her first baby with hubby Jay-Z in private. On Friday, the rumor mill churned out the report that Beyoncé gave birth to a baby girl that was named Tiana May. Today [...]

Happy New Year, Happy 2012!! Yes, things are running a little slow today in the wake of my amazing New Year’s Eve celebration with friends last night but … the show must go on! To get the new year started off right, I want to post a few photos from last night’s fun so that I can express my immense love and extreme gratitude for/to some amazing friends in my life. David and I were surrounded by total love last night with some of our very favorite people in the world and I want to start 2012 by sharing my love for them with all y’all.

To get the party started, David and I met up with Tamar and Rob for a delicious dinner in Los Feliz before we all made our way downtown to hang out with Ollie and Caleb at their DTLA loft. Our good friends Margaret and Chris joined the fun just before the new year and … BAM! It was 2012. We had a lot of fun together — booze was drank, food was ate and LOTS of photos were taken. As the last moments of 2011 ticked away and the first moments of 2012 were upon us, I was just so aware of how lucky I am to have such amazing people in my life. It can only be a Happy New Year when you are surrounded by so many good people. I know I am a very fortunate person because I could’ve been surrounded in the same amount of love no matter where I chose to be last night. David and I have the most amazing family and friends at home in Detroit, in NYC, in San Francisco, in Connecticut … we have loved ones in Australia, in Berlin … folks jetting around the world at any given time … it’s hard not to be thankful and humbled by the charmed lives we live.

To all of you reading this right now, I am sharing this love to all of YOU in the hopes that it will warm you and send you into 2012 with as much happiness and prosperity possible. The best of times are yet to come … trust me! Have a Happy 2012, much much love to ALL OF YOU!

The Demise of the Festival

Afro-Peruvian jazz is one of the younger forms of Latin jazz. Born when traditional Afro-Peruvian musicians encountered the New York jazz scene, it's really only been around since the 1980s. New York jazz is pretty well known, but Afro-Peruvian music with its lively rhythms is not so familiar to us. Learn and enjoy a fascinating musical form, and discover its roots.

We reported yesterday that Debra Messing, who recently divorced her husband, Daniel Zelman, had already started dating her Smash co-star Will Chase, but what we didn't realize that the Broadway actor was already MARRIED to Stephanie Gibson - and now they're getting divorced!

Not good!

We have a feeling that this one is a whole lot messier and a whole lot less 'amicable' than what it appears!

Thriller Novels: Where Does the Kick Come From?

If you're a comic book reader who has been suffering from event fatigue, don't expect it to slow down anytime soon, especially if you're a Marvel fan. The House of Ideas has recently announced its 2012 mega event, 'Avengers vs. X-Men'. Unlike 'Fear Itself', details about AVX have been spreading constantly online. What we know is that it will focus on the return of the Phoenix force, and how that causes both teams to clash. The event officially kicked off last week with the return of Cable in 'Avengers: X-Sanction' (Jeph Loeb), and will begin to unravel in 2012. With the potential for an event the scale of Civil War, it's time Marvel delivered in bringing us a comic book event that can match the hype.

Espionage Thriller Novels How Two Classics Founded the Genre

Many people think that caricatures are just an outdated or wacky form of entertainment, but caricaturists have made many important contributions to politics, culture, and art over the years. What Are The Different Types Of Capo?

This opinion is very much shared by all fans of progressive rock music. Rush is one of the most influential progressive rock band of all time. And being this influential, it gives way to songs that this Canadian band would etch into the history of rock music. These three songs are not only the 3 best Rush songs, in my opinion, they mark important stages in their recording career.

Remember Indie Artists: Tell A Compelling Story With Your Biography

Reality rap music, as with other forms of media or expression has their places in this world, while some may argue whether these are beneficial or even safe for the world to witness. The real struggle for free speech lies not in fighting for the right to listen to what you agree with, but in fighting for the freedom of those with whom you don't agree.

Succeeding As A Rap Artist

There are many myths in the world today, both proven and unproven. The most common of myths are generated by parents or grandparents to keep the children disciplined or in line. Myths tend to stem from make believe stories too, often believed by the youngest of children, or simply those who are too naive to see the truth.

Looks like it's going to be ALL about impossible missions and tattooed girls this holiday weekend! Ha!

The first box office numbers have arrived for the start of the long weekend, and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol seems primed for the #1 spot!

According to some VERY preliminary numbers, here are the top five movies at the holiday weekend box office...so far:

1. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

2. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

3. Sherlock Holmes: Game Of Shadows

4. Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

5. The Adventures Of Tintin

No HUGE surprises there...although hopefully Spielberg's Tintin will surpass Chipwrecked by the end of the weekend. Sad!

Kathy Troccoli Songs Written By Chris Rice

The Cache Valley Cartel has come a long way from their humble beginning in Logan, Utah in December of 2009. The band formed under the direction of Kidd Kazmeo, who brought a talented, yet, inexperienced group of young musicians together with the express idea of turning the music industry on its ear. Kazmeo knew he could develop a music genre unlike any other by blending several styles into an entirely new genre.

Video: Whoopi Goldberg Farts on The View

Here is the video of Whoopi Goldberg farting on The View. The incident occurred on Friday December 16th and as you can imagine is super duper gross. Claire Danes was the delightful guest who apparently bored Whoopi enough that she let out a loud ripper. She readily admits it too, saying “Oh excuse me, I think I just blew a little frog out of there.” Ms. Danes is shocked. As anyone would be shocked. She was graceful not to reach over and back slap Whoopi. She just laughed a little and continued. My view is that Whoopi Goldberg does not have any self-respect. She is overweight which is often a sign of depression. She slinks in her chair which is usually a sign of insecurity. Yes she is funny to a point. But hilarious? No. In fact I really do not know what she has done worthwhile since that singing nun movie that was made 20 years ago. Today she was just gross which is the sign of a lazy comedian. The best comedians are the ones who do not have to shock you to get a reaction. What are your thoughts about Whoopi Goldberg farting? See the video from [...]

Revisiting the Legends of Upright Bass

Trying to nail down a favourite Beatles record is like trying to decide on your favourite flavour of ice cream, or your favourite colour. One day it might be the funky Come Together (Abbey Road, 1969) other days it might be green. One day it might be the early rocker You Can't Do That (A Hard Day's Night, 1964) other days it might be chocolate and vanilla. That is the problem - maybe the only problem - with the fab four; they just have too many wonderful songs.

The Fascinating History of Electric Guitar

Do you love music? Have you ever thought about making music of your own for yourself, or the enjoyment of other people? What kind of keyboard should a starting or a novice piano player choose? This is a common question among people who have become interested in music, and are looking for an instrument.

Obtaining A Classic Sound Using Current Studio Equipment

Electric bass guitar is a young instrument-with the commercial production of P-Bass back in '61. Before the age of pick-ups and other high-tech features, electric bass was known to legendary players as double bass. While we are deeply enamored with bass guitar prowess of James Jamerson, John Entwistle, Cliff Burton and Jack Bruce; it's a must to go back and appreciate the players who mastered the upright bass. In an era when guitars and piano was the star of the night, these bass players put up their own show as if saying, "Enough is enough; you people need to listen because we have our own good licks here." Perceived to be too heavy, too sloppy and soft for large halls-much like the fat guy in school who always gets bullied-these maestros put upright bass into a whole new light.

Can Architecture Build Happiness?

Gladiators were the spectacles of blood and entertainment in the ancient Roman world. By spending the time to make your own gladiator costume, you can now be a revered spectacle in whatever event you plan on attending. This sort of costume can cost anywhere between $10 to $40 USD, depending on what materials and tools you already have, but the success of finishing and showing off is definitely worthwhile in the end.

Soap Dish: Bye Bye ABC Daytime President Brian Frons

Welcome to this weeks edition of Soap Dish! A day early I know but I could not wait to dish about the news that Brian Frons is biding adieu to ABC Daytime. Although my first reaction when I read the news that Frons would be dunzo as of January 2012 I was thrilled. I even did a little happy dance, no lie. However I soon realized that just because he will be gone does not mean that General Hospital isn’t on the chopping block anymore, nor does it bring back All My Children or One Life To Live. That being said I am still glad to see him go. The guy who came up with crap shows like The Chew and The Revolution, it may not have aired yet but we all know it is going to suck, will no longer be in charge and I like that. Frons has supposedly decided to leave when his contract is up, that is the official story behind his leaving. I don’t know if I believe that or not given the year it has been for him. I mean the backlash for canceling AMC and OLTL was pretty major. So even if his [...]
